On September 11th I watched the second plane hit World Trade Center 2 from the 29th floor of a building in Brooklyn. Like many Americans who saw similar images on television, the experience changed me in ways that I'm only starting to understand.

So when I discovered that the city was erecting the "Towers of Light" on March 11th 2002 in honor of those who died - both in the WTC buildings and in the attempt to rescue them - I knew that I had to try to capture this memory on film.

I shot several rolls of film that night using my Nikon F100 and either a Nikkor f2.8 80-200mm or a Sigma f2.8 35-80mm zoom. These images are some of my favorites.
